"Warm Feet for
the Street"
Buy a pair of warm socks and
then fill one sock with the other and top it off with useful articles for a
person whose home is on the street. Keep in mind that many street people
carry all of their belongs in one small bag. Recipients will be men, women
and youth. Please finish your sock by labeling it with masking tape
containing the gender and age, if applicable.
Note: do not include food items
or anything containing an alcohol base, such as aftershave, mouthwash or
perfume.
Suggestions: bus tickets, small sizes of
shampoo, Kleenex, band-aids, toothbrush/toothpaste, comb, lip balm, skin
cream, disposable razor/shaving cream, sewing kit, address book, pen &
paper, movie passes/gift certificates. We will collect the filled
socks under our Mitten Tree and deliver to the Mustard Seed by Dec 22.
Craft Night --- Friday,
November 21 @ 7pm at the church
We will be making beaded
bracelets to recall the 23 Psalm. Everyone is welcome!! Beads and other
materials will be supplied by the M&O committee. These bracelets
will be given to those in grief and sadness to help overcome the burden of
sorrow. Each line of the 23 Psalm relates to a coloured bead on the
bracelet.

Paul Rumbolt concert - St. Andrew's United Church in

his Newfoundland roots, along with his
spiritual connections from his work as a United Church Minister in various
provinces across Canada.
UCW CHRISTMAS PARTY
There will be a Women's Christmas Party at the church on Thursday Dec. 4 at
6:15 p.m. The evening will include a turkey dinner with pie
selections and a small gift exchange. The meal will be catered by
Mary Anne Philips. Reservations taken until December 1. Sign up

Book Club
