Crossfield United has a strong Sunday School and Youth
Group program. The nursery is well equipped with toys, a high
chair, change table, and playpen. There is also a child-sized toilet.
Volunteers provide stimulating and loving childcare in the nursery every
Sunday.
Crossfield United Church
has a dedicated group of volunteers who teach Sunday School. The lessons
are Biblically based and rooted in the Good News and grace of Jesus Christ.
A typical Sunday morning for Children at Crossfield United:
The children gather with the adults in the sanctuary for the beginning of
worship. They are then invited to come to the front of the church for a
biblically-based children's story told to them by the minister. After the
story there is often a child-friendly song that relates to the story.
Following the children's time, they are invited to go out to the Sunday
School where they will meet for a short circle-time before breaking off
into their Sunday School classes. The classes are divided by age.
The Sunday School teachers continue to share the unconditional love of God
this year, using a new curriculum called Splish-Splash Bible Bash, for ages
4-11. We also provide nursery care for those under 4 every week during the
service.
God has kindly provided the youth (ages 12 and up) with a new youth worker,
Katie Price. Katie will be teaching the youth on Sunday mornings ,
organizing a fun activity once a month, and helping Carry Carmody with the
Canadian Girls in Training (CGIT) program.
We invite all to attend and rejoice!
